The RIHP – Industry, History and Heritage network was formed in November 2012. RIHP brings together research units, organizations and researchers interested in the areas generally summarized as Industry, History and Heritage.

RIHP aims at being an interdisciplinary space of reflection and debate, committed to the promotion and development of activities from institutions, organizations and individuals, both from Portugal and abroad. RIHP is interested in studying the industry as a global social reality crucial to the understanding of the contemporary World’s history, in particular in its general relation with economic / social development, involving material and immaterial cultural heritage.

The RIHP network maintains, among other actions, the organization of scientific meetings aiming to promote and share knowledge in the history, industry and heritage domains.
